Gen Korean BBQ House Torrance: A Flavorful Korean BBQ Experience Awaits

It’s one of my favourite spots and I can’t get enough! The food is great, the price makes it taste even better and the service is great. We did have a little hiccup with the drink as it came flat and food came a bit slower than usual but as soon as they realised they sorted it out asap which I appreciate. I believe our waitress was a woman called MJ and I didn’t catch the gent that worked with her but he was great too (sorry). The only downside is the flooring, it always feels slippery and even more concerning when you come with babies.

My kids treated me here for Mothers Day. They had been before but it was my first time. The Potato Salad Oh Emm Gee. I make the best potato salad but this was ...not like mine but still super tasty. Service was amazing. I enjoyed the experience and we agreed to start going once a month. 30 / person all you can eat. They have like 20 meat choices. Or you can add 20 for the upgrade. We didn't do the upgrade. I will do the upgrade when I go by myself

Looooove, Loooove kbbq!! I come here every weekend, need to switch up and look for other places, but Gen is my go-to! I can not get enough of it. My only complaint is that the steak, first time getting it, it looked so rubbery and couldnt even chew it, had to cut it as small as possible to not choke, not sure what type of meat they are using but it's a Hard pass for me! They should also serve corn with cheese, i know most kbbq ive been to they have it. Ever since they started doing the premium menu with the regular menu, the beef has changed so much. The brisket is so delicate and cheap, just rips apart that everything together just looks like dog food(next time will take a picture). I came here around 8:40 on a Tuesday, supervisor or what ever he was in the front took our name down and said 10-15 minute wait. We waited 30 MINUTES!!!!!!!! WHY? Because they had already cleaned and closed down half the restaurant while there was still like 10-20 people waiting to be seated and yes, there was delays due to that, BS!! I was already expecting bad service BUT luckily someone came by introducing himself as our server BUT we actually had someone else attending us. He was the only one there being cautious making a sound when coming in and out the kitchen to not bump into other colleagues. Being end of the day, he was the only one out of all servers who was so attentive and on it his s***! Best server there is honestly, he was on top of everything, running literally everywhere and helping out, didn't miss ONE thing we asked for, he was on a roll. Shout out to Ray

Great food and fun atmosphere! A bit pricey for the premium cuts, but totally worth it. Will definitely be back!

We have been to different locations of this restaurant so we are familiar with the quality and service. This is our first time here and we got the service level we expected from other locations. Food was amazing. Service quality was outstanding. We went on a late Saturday night so it was busy but they were able to accommodate a large group of 14. We did call an hour ahead to be sure. We enjoyed our time there!

Been coming here for a few years and never fail to disappoint. I know some may say that it is overrated but I personally love the attention they give you and the professionalism they show. Waiting times can vary but be ready to wait between 20 minutes to 1 hour depending on the day of the week/weekend. Price is fair for the amount of meats you get in the 2 hour time period. (LUNCH : 19.95, DINNER : 28.95). Ambience is young and trendy...clean and plenty of parking as well. Definitely a place to come at least once to experience.

I had a wonderful experience at Gen Korean BBQ yesterday (4/09) for my daughter’s birthday. From the moment we arrived, the service was great. We were a party of 15, I called ahead to make a reservation, and everything went smoothly. They were incredibly accommodating, and what truly stood out was how they helped make my daughter’s birthday extra special. I brought in a cake, and the staff went above and beyond by coming in with it and singing happy birthday to her. She was surprised and so happy — and that meant everything to me. A big thank you to the staff and manager for your kindness and for helping create such a memorable day for my daughter.

The food was great, as was the service. The entire restaurant looks modern and stylish. I left there very full and content. I will come back again.
